BGG founder and chairwoman Monita Mo explains the breeding logic behind the Meng-Series and emphasizes that local breeding should follow the principle of “same origin, better selection,” while staying grounded in the real needs of Chinese producers rather than blindly following imported lines.

That confidence is backed by a deep data foundation. BGG has accumulated 1 million birth records, 130,000 specific registration records, and 100,000 chip data records, with complete pedigree tracking reaching as far as nine generations. At the same time, BGG has established paperless and highly refined automatic data collection, including automatic feed-data uploads to the central platform, and has worked with research institutions to redesign a custom 55K gene chip that includes disease-resistance traits.

Based on full-lifecycle data, BGG has further differentiated its pigs into multiple signature directions, including WeiMeng for feed-saving efficiency, FeiMeng with average daily gain up to 1,140 grams from 50 to 100 kilograms, MengSheng as a high-quality maternal line with birth weight strictly controlled above 1.2 kilograms, and MengXiang as a sire line with IMF above 0.5 for premium pork programs. The goal is to help producers choose the most suitable breeding pigs for their own region and production conditions through transparent and reliable data.
